Re: How about Calamares installer?
Calamares installer is a slower installer and heavy on resources. It is in the repo as a choice for the users also refracta installer is included also. These have been heavily modified to work with PCLOS Debian as stated on the website. You have the choice of three different installers. Have fun! ![Cool](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_cool.gif)

In my tests Calamares uses much less resources. Current live-installer freezes in "select locale" section - CPU 100% caused by python3. ![Rolling Eyes](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif)

Not computer so much as resources but qt dependencies is what I meant to say. But use what you want and create your own iso with it. No one is stopping you from using it.nobody wrote:In my tests Calamares uses much less resources. Current live-installer freezes in "select locale" section - CPU 100% caused by python3.
That is why it is there.

Re: How about Calamares installer?
I ran the Cinnamon iso live, opened Synaptic and selected Calamares to install. But when I saw the sheer number of dependencies I changed my mind. Seems that it's a very KDE oriented application. Unless I was about to install the KDE system, it wouldn't seem appropriate.
