It does not start in live-USB and it does not start in installed system. The error message:

Hm, just now I tested both variants of Plasma, running Mercury in live mode and on an installation from that live ISO in VirtualBox. Mercury works fine there.

What DE are you using?

I downloaded and installed the MATE version in VBox. It opens properly, but there are messages in the console that Upgreyed will have to take a look at.

Those error messages have always been there but the browser works nevertheless.

I just tested the latest uploaded MATE iso with Ventoy and it works accordingly. Same as Gnome Boxes. Maybe you have a bad download?

It is a Mercury browser bug. I downloaded Mercury its own site, and it makes the same error. It works in some computers , but not in HP Compaq CQ70 scratch

Mercury won't work on some older computers as we discussed it here. The first version I had this warning and workaround but abandoned it with the later version as I thought it was fixed in this version but apparently not?

I have to say I've been lucky, Wink several of my computers are over 13 years old and I've yet to find one that Mercury won't run on Smile
