Due antiX forums topic, nVidia drivers does not work corretly in new Debian, so better to use Noveau driver. If modesetting driver is working ok, let it be.

You can blacklist your audio device to default to the one you frequently use. Create a file in /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
and add the one you do not want it to default to as in my setup here. Yours will probably different.
blacklist snd_usb_audio
Now in the sound setting snd_usb_audio does not show.

The issue I'm having is that I am unable to transfer hdmi audio to my TV that I'm using as an external monitor.
I have pavucontrol installed and when playing a YouTube video I see the audio playing in Mercury browser but it isn't being sent to the TV

On my PCLOS-Mate-Main and nvidia driver installed the hdmi audio is transferred to the TV, is there a way to accomplish this without the nvidia driver Question

Is this only in the Mercury browser you get no sound on Youtube? Is the videos you are watching muted as shown?

Any application involving sound Hypnotix, Click Radio, mpv Media Player, etc pavucontrol shows the audio is playing  but isn't sent to the TV.
Nothing is muted, I have this same issue with Community Releases LXQT and Trinity as I have been unable to install the nvidia driver in them.

Is your connection to the TV using a straight HDMI to HDMI cable or are you using an adaptor in the line?
