Extremely slow updates

I have 400 MB+ of pending updates but the update speed is in single or at maximum double digit kpbs. It will take more than 6 hours at his rate. I am likely to suffer from power failure much before that.

I think my mirrors may not be optimally configured?

How do I check and correct it?

Yes! That is correct and also in look in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/pclosdebian.list

Is there an alternate mirror? This mirror is impossible to use because the download speed is in bytes/sec. For a 9 MB file it says it will need 9 hours to download!
